Since Isleta El Espino is an island, we will need to know the approximate time you wish to be picked up in our boat from Marina Cocibolca for your check-in. Marina Cocibocla is a 10-15 minute taxi ride from the center of Granada (map and directions). We can also arrange a car for you from anywhere in Nicaragua both for your arrival and departure. Common destinations and prices are listed on the Tours page of our website.


Boat service from Marina Cocibolca for check-in and check-out is included in your reservation. Check-ins arriving after 8 pm are required to make special arrangements by contacting us two days in advance.


Additional boat transfers to and from the marina can be arranged during a stay. The added costs are:

  • Daytime (7 am - 8 pm): US $10 per one-way trip
  • Nighttime (8 pm - 7 am): US $20 per one-way trip


Breakfast is included with the price of the room and is served every morning from 7:30 to 9:30 am.


We strongly discourage smoking and vaping. However, they are permitted at the kayak dock and pool areas when no other guests are present. Smoking and vaping are NOT PERMITTED IN ALL OTHER LOCATIONS including guest rooms. Violations of this policy will result in an immediate charge of US $500 per violation, cancellation of the reservation and removal from the property.


Additional Terms & Conditions

  1. Two guests allowed per room. A third person may be added to select rooms with a US $35 surcharge. Please inquire.
  2. We cannot accept children under 12 years old (except with a full island buyout).
  3. Isleta El Espino has a no-visitor policy, and only registered guests and those with day passes or dinner reservations are permitted on the island.
  4. No pets are permitted on Isleta El Espino.
  5. Any damage to guest rooms or to any property of El Espino, S.A. will be promptly assessed and charged to the credit card on file at the discretion of management. In the case of third-party bookings (e.g., through travel agents), the booking party will be held financially responsible for any unreimbursed damages caused by their clients.
  6. MasterCard, Visa, and American Express are accepted for payment.
  7. Any room reservation balances are due in full upon check-in.
  8. A 15% IVA tax is added to the room rate and collected with the deposit or upon check-in.
  9. Guests departing early will be charged the entire balance of the original reservation.
  10. Any credit vouchers issued for cancellations not transferable.
  11. We encourage you to purchase travel insurance.
  12. Any damages to the rooms or any property of El Espino, S.A. will be promptly assessed and charged to the credit card of record at the discretion of the management.
  13. All guests must provide a valid passport or Nicaragua government-issued ID at check-in.
  14. Isleta El Espino is private property. All persons are expected to show respect towards staff, other guests and the property throughout their visit. Failure to comply may lead to the cancellation without refund and removal from the property.
  15. Violations of Nicaragua law including suspected use of illegal drugs may result in a report to the authorities.


CHECK-IN / CHECK-OUT (Arrival & Departure)

Check-in time is 2 pm, Check-out time is 11 am. If you would like to arrive earlier, please let us know in advance so we can try to accommodate your request. Check-ins arriving after 5 pm are requested to make special arrangements by contacting us at least two days in advance.


LATE CHECK-OUT (Subject to availability.)

Guests may stay on the property as late as 2 pm after checking out from their rooms by 11 am for an additional charge of $20 per person which is credited against any food and beverage purchases.
