Reservation and Booking Policies

Since Isleta El Espino is an island, we will need to know the approximate time you wish to be picked up in our boat from Marina Cocibolca for your check-in. Marina Cocibocla is a 10-15 minute taxi ride from the center of Granada (map and directions). We can also arrange a car for you from anywhere in Nicaragua both for your arrival and departure. Common destinations and prices are listed on the Activities page of our website.

Boat service from Marina Cocibolca for check-in and check-out is included in your reservation.

Check-ins arriving after 5 pm are required to make special arrangements by contacting us two days in advance.

 

Additional boat service during your stay will be charged at a rate of US $10 per one-way trip. 

Boat services, including for check-ins, after 8 pm will be charged a US $20 after-hour boat service fee.

 

Breakfast is included with the price of the room and is served every morning from 7:30 to 9:30 am.

 

There is no smoking permitted anywhere on El Espino including in guest rooms or on our boat at any time.

Additional Terms & Conditions

  • Two guests allowed per room. A third person may be added to select rooms with a US $35 surcharge. Please inquire.

  • We are sorry but cannot accept children under 12 years old.

  • Isleta El Espino has a no-visitor policy, and only registered guests and those with dinner reservations are permitted on the island.

  • No pets are permitted on Isleta El Espino.

  • Any damages to the rooms or any property of El Espino, S.A. will be promptly assessed and charged to the credit card of record at the discretion of the management.

  • MasterCard, Visa, and American Express are accepted for payment.

  • Any room reservation balances are due in full upon check-in.

  • A 15% IVA and 2% INTUR tax are added to the room rate (for a total of 17%) and collected with the deposit or upon check-in.

  • Guests departing early will be charged the entire balance of the original reservation.

  • Any credit vouchers issued for cancellations not transferable.

  • We encourage you to purchase travel insurance.

  • Any damages to the rooms or any property of El Espino, S.A. will be promptly assessed and charged to the credit card of record at the discretion of the management.

  • Please note that for security purposes, you will be asked to provide a valid government or state-issued photo ID at check-in.

 

CHECK-IN / CHECK-OUT (Arrival & Departure)

Check-in time is 2 pm, Check-out time is 11 am. If you would like to arrive earlier, please let us know in advance so we can try to accommodate your request. Check-ins arriving after 5 pm are requested to make special arrangements by contacting us at least two days in advance.

FULL ISLAND RENTAL (maximum 14 people)

Rates are based on 2 guests per room for a total of 10 guests. An additional charge of US $35 per additional guest per night will be added to the reservation. An additional bed can be added in select rooms with prior arrangement.

The following policies apply to reservations made directly with Isleta El Espino, El Espino Travel, and El Espino, S.A. only. For reservations made through a third-party, please refer to their own policies.

DEPOSIT

The full value (including all applicable taxes) will be charged to the credit card provided at the time the reservation is made.Upon deposit confirmation, reservations will be confirmed by email to the address provided.

 

CANCELLATIONS

Please read the following cancellation terms carefully before reserving as we will not make exceptions under ANY circumstances. If you have any questions about the cancellation policies, please inquire before making a reservation.

 

RESERVATIONS FOR 1-2 ROOMS

  • Deposits are refundable until 60 days prior to the check-in date.
  • Cancellations or reductions in duration made between 30 and 59 days prior to the check-in date will receive a credit voucher for 100% of the deposit amount for a stay within 1 year of the original check-in date.

  • Cancellations or reductions in duration made between 15 and 29 days prior to the check-in date will receive a credit voucher for 50% of the deposit amount for a stay within 1 year of the original check-in date.

  • Cancellations or reductions in duration made 14 days or fewer prior to the check-in date will not receive a credit voucher or refund.
     

RESERVATIONS FOR GROUPS RESERVING 3 OR MORE ROOMS (INCLUDING FULL ISLAND RESERVATIONS)

  • Deposits are refundable until 120 days prior to the check-in date.
  • Cancellations or reductions in duration made between 60 and 119 days prior to the check-in date will receive a credit voucher for 100% of the deposit amount for a stay within 1 year of the original check-in date.

  • Cancellations or reductions in duration made between 30 and 59 days prior to the check-in date will receive a credit voucher for 50% of the deposit amount for a stay within 1 year of the original check-in date.

  • Cancellations or reductions in duration made 29 days or fewer prior to the check-in date will not receive a credit voucher or refund.
