Weddings + Events on Isleta El Espino

Thank you for considering Isleta El Espino as the venue for your wedding or event. We would be honored to host your special day and assist you in planning every aspect of the event, ensuring that you and your guests can relax and fully enjoy the celebration.

At Isleta El Espino, we can accommodate up to 45 guests on the island for your event, with five guest rooms available to accommodate a total of 10 guests for overnight stays (13 with extra beds). Our location is incredibly convenient, just a short 10-minute drive from the center of Granada and a 10-minute boat ride from Marina Cocibolca. To make your transportation seamless, we provide boat transfers to and from the event, with the cost determined based on the size of your group.

Our menu showcases a selection of dishes crafted using fresh, locally sourced ingredients, many of which are grown right here on the island. Upon arrival, your guests will be treated to our house-made juices and hors d'oeuvres. For the main meal, you can choose between plated table service or a buffet, both offering a variety of starters, main dishes, and a dessert (please note that the wedding cake is not included). We take care of all necessary rentals, including tables, seating, place settings, barware, and provide a dedicated staff to ensure a seamless experience throughout the event.

To secure your accommodations, we kindly request booking all the guest rooms on the day before and the day of the event, with a minimum stay of two nights. If you choose to reserve all rooms for three or more nights, we are pleased to offer a 10% discount on the room rates for the entire duration of your stay.

We offer a range of additional services at an extra cost, including floral arrangements for the ceremony and reception (priced between US $200 and $500), musicians such as a solo guitarist or a latin music trio (ranging from US $500 to $1200 for three hours), as well as car or micro-bus transfers within Nicaragua.

The following are our event package options and rates:

Option 1 - Plated table service for up to 20 guests (10 person minimum charge):

  • For the first 15 guests: US $58 per person

  • For the 16th guest and above: US $53 per person

Option 2 - Buffet service for 20-45 guests (20 person minimum charge):

  • For the first 20 guests: US $58 per person

  • For the 21st guest and above: US $53 per person

Option 3 - Cocktail reception with hors d’oeuvres for up to 45 guests (20 person minimum charge):

  • For the first 20 guests: US $43 per person

  • For the 21st guest and above: US $37 per person

Please note that all events with more than 15 guests will incur a site fee of US $500, while events with more than 30 guests will be charged a site fee of US $750.

Here are a few additional terms, conditions, and assumptions:

  • The pricing assumes the menu items listed on our website. Other options are available but may affect the price.

  • Non-alcoholic drinks, wine, beer, and cocktails are not included in the packages.

  • A 15% IVA tax and a 10% service charge will be added to the final bill.

  • The pricing assumes a 5-hour event that will conclude no later than 10 pm. Should you wish to extend the duration, an additional cost of $200 per hour will be charged (billed in ½ hour increments).

  • Mini tortilla with chicken and chimichurri sauce

Starters

  • Mixed green salad with seasonal vegetables (vegetarian)

  • Spinach and watermelon salad with feta and mint (vegetarian)

Mains (choose 3 of the following)

  • Sea bass with ginger sauce

  • Ratatouille (vegetarian)

  • Pollo Relleno - Chicken stuffed with spinach & onions in crema

  • Arroz Jardin - rice with carrots, onions and peppers (vegetarian)

  • White beans with potatoes, onions and tomatoes (vegetarian)

Desserts (choose 1 of the following)

  • Buenuelos de Yuca

  • Flan with caramel sauce

Wine and Bar Services

We are pleased to offer wine, beer and cocktails at a hosted bar billable at the conclusion of the event. Alternatively, you have the option to bring your own bottles of wine and champagne for a corkage fee of US $10 per bottle. If you opt for a hosted bar, other alcoholic beverages will be billed based on consumption, and you have the flexibility to select the specific types of alcohol and cocktails offered.

Activities and Spa Services

In addition to the event services, we can coordinate nature and cultural tours in the region, spa services on Isleta El Espino, hikes, kayaking, tours, and transportation beyond the Granada area for you and your guests through El Espino Travel.

Officiant (for legal civil ceremony): US $800-1000

Officiant services include the cost of the marriage licence and filing fees. You must provide your passport and copy of your birth certificate. Requirements are outlined here: https://ni.usembassy.gov/marriage/

Transportation

Please let us know if you would like us to arrange airport transportation as well as getting your guests from Granada to Marina Cocibolca. Your guest's boat transportation to the island and back is included in the cost of the event. Each boat accommodates 8-12 guests and departs when full. If guests need to arrive or leave at times other than when we have a full boat there is a US $10 charge per trip.
